How It Started – Our Trinity Fence & Deck Story

Neil and six kiddos seen with the classic Long Fence panel often seen in DC in 2014. Oh yes, the Washington Monument as well.

We’re Neil and Martina Kreitzer – a husband-and-wife team, proud Central Texans, and parents of eight kids who’ve taught us more about resilience, grit, and getting creative on a budget than any business book ever could.

Owner Neil Kreitzer reviewing a quote before sending it to a potential customer.

Trinity Fence & Deck was born from a mix of experience, faith in what’s possible, and the belief that families like ours deserve outdoor spaces built to last – without overcomplicated pricing or slick sales tactics.

🧰 How It All Started

Back in 1998, Neil began his fencing career at Long Fence in the Washington, D.C. area, where he developed the kind of hands-on, problem-solving skillset that can only be earned in the field. Little known fact, but Martina also worked at Long Fence as well! When we moved back to Texas, he brought that foundation with him and spent the next 20+ years creating and leading residential fence and deck operations – not just as a sales manager, but as a working leader who kept an active pipeline of his own. While managing his team, Neil also ran a full schedule of leads, balancing mentorship, project oversight, and hands-on customer service. It’s a rare combination in this industry – and it’s part of what made him so trusted by both clients and crews, especially when dealing with properties that weren’t “standard issue.”

🏡 Built With Family in Mind

As a large family, we know what it’s like to weigh every decision – time, cost, priorities. That’s why Trinity is designed around affordability, transparency, and craftsmanship that doesn’t cut corners. We’re going to be your best advocate for the best materials and price every step of the way because we LIVE every day according to budgeting for a large family.

We don’t sell what you don’t need.
We don’t push upgrades for the sake of margin.
And we never forget what it means to be on the customer’s side of the table.

When we build a fence, a deck, or a pergola – we think about:

  • Safety for your kids and pets
  • Durability in Texas weather
  • Designs that elevate the space, not overpower it
  • Real-life function, not just flashy finishes

🪴 More Than Just Fence & Deck

Most companies in our space stick to one thing. We don’t.

Trinity was intentionally structured to offer more – because we know homeowners don’t always want to juggle multiple contractors.

In addition to fences, decks, and pergolas, we also offer:

  • Concrete work (driveways, sidewalks, pads, patios)
  • Masonry (retaining walls, columns, fire pits)
  • Custom structures (metal shade frames, privacy walls)
  • Outdoor lighting & functional design

These aren’t afterthoughts – they’re core parts of our business, handled with the same care and craftsmanship as every fence and deck we build.

🌳 Where We’re Headed

This business isn’t just about fences. It’s about family. Our family, your family.
It’s about community.
It’s about building the kind of company our kids can be proud of – and maybe even help run someday.

We believe that outdoor spaces can change how people gather, rest, and connect. And we’re committed to helping Central Texas homeowners do just that, one backyard at a time.

🤠 Just a Few Things You Should Know About Us

  • Yes, we drive a giant black Sprinter van nicknamed The Beast. Wave hello if you see us…or throw us some cookies. :p
  • Our kids range from kindergarteners to grown-ups – there’s always someone doing chores or learning a new skill.
  • We believe coffee, conversation, and a good nap can solve almost anything.
  • We are problem solvers.
  • And somewhere in the middle of all this… Uncle Rick still thinks he’s the cornhole king of West Virginia. 🏆

If you’re looking for a fence or deck company that shows up, listens, and builds like it matters – welcome. You just found us.

Some wins show up on a scoreboard.
Some wins walk beside you in a parking lot after the game. ❤️

Wednesday evening was both.

🏀
A buzzer beater in overtime.
Old friends on the other bench.
A former school.
Big emotions. Bigger memories.

But as we walked back to the car, what stood out most wasn’t the shot, it was this view. 💕

Little hands. Growing kids. Tired legs. Full hearts.
This is our why.

Family is the reason we work long days.
It’s why we build something of our own.
It’s why we care about doing things the right way, with character, work ethic, and pride in every detail, because the people walking beside us are watching.

At Trinity, we’re not just building fences and decks.
We’re building a future for these kiddos.
We’re building security, opportunity, and something our kids can be proud of someday. After all, they’ve grown up in fence culture.

Moments like this remind us.
The real victory isn’t just the game.
It’s getting to walk through life together.

This is who we work for. Always. ❤️

Two weeks old and already the calm (and balm for the soul) in the middle of a very full season 💕

With this frigid weather keeping everyone home, life has slowed down just enough to soak in moments like this. A brand new sleeping grandbaby, kids home from school for an extra day (or two!), schedules paused for a second - and a reminder that even in the busiest, most stretched seasons… these are the moments that matter.

Right now we’re balancing a lot.
Starting a new business together.
Kids across multiple schools.
Sports seasons, practices, pickups, drop-offs, games, tournaments, senior year, kinder year.
And walking through a season that’s asked more of us than we ever expected.
Real life. Real responsibility.

Some seasons refine you. They stretch you, grow you, and teach you what you’re really made of. And in the middle of it all, we’re choosing to build our business the same way we build our family - with honesty, integrity, and hard work.

Because one day these little ones will look back and see how we handled the hard seasons. That example matters more than anything we could ever build. It’s an absolute privilege to be able to work alongside my husband, one of the most hardworking men I’ve ever known.

And this sweet girl? She is just one of the many reasons behind every long day and every step forward. And holding her reminds me we’re right where we’re meant to be. 💛

🥶 CENTRAL TEXAS COLD SNAP 🦌

If Buckley Joe is out here… it’s officially TOO cold.

Meet Buckley Joe - local stag, part-time fence inspector, full-time “shouldn’t be outside right now” representative.

Georgetown, Austin, and all of Central Texas are dealing with:
❄️ Freezing temps
🌬️ Brutal wind chill
🌨️ Icy conditions moving in

Even Buckley Joe looks like he’s questioning his life choices.

It’s too late for big prep - now it’s about staying safe.

🏠 Best plan? Stay home if you can.
Warmth > errands
Safety > schedules

🚗 If you have to go out:
• Drive slow and leave extra stopping room
• Watch bridges & overpasses for black ice
• Keep blankets and a phone charger in your vehicle

Your fence and deck are built Texas-tough…
but this weather still deserves respect.

Take a cue from Buckley Joe - find shelter and ride it out.

⏳ 2 weeks is standard. 4 weeks is JANUARY. 📆

Most fence and deck quotes expire in 14 days.
👉 All January long, we’re extending ours to FOUR full weeks.

That means:
✅ More time to review
💰 More time to budget
🗓️ More time to plan-without pressure

If a fence or deck is on your list this year, January is the smartest time to get your numbers locked in.

💫Because you trusted us our first year.💫

Thank you. Truly. For the calls, the conversations, the trust, and the chance to build something meaningful-one project at a time.

This year was about more than fences and gates. It was about building a business from the ground up. Every process, every workflow, every decision was created intentionally and independently-our own systems, our own standards, our own way of doing things. We showed up focused on clarity, craftsmanship, and care, and we let the work speak for itself.

It hasn’t always been easy, but it has always been 100% honest. And because you trusted us-our work, our word, and our values-we’re closing out year one proud of what we built and how we built it.

From our family to yours, thank you for being part of this first chapter.

Here’s to the year ahead. ✨
